Imprint is an ongoing series of paintings exploring process, pressure, and time. In this body of work, Terrill Warrenburg pours paint onto canvas and traps it beneath materials such as plastic, allowing the surface to record the physical imprint of what presses against it. As the paint dries in layers, chance and material interaction shape the final image as much as intention. The resulting works hold traces of compression, movement, and pause—documents of contact where paint is both constrained and released. Each piece reflects an accumulation of actions over time, emphasizing process as both subject and method.
